Some of your comments are just downright unpleasant on this thread, and I’d guess that like me, most people have their favourite era of music, but like other eras too. I wouldn’t know an Adele or Ed Sheeran song from an Ariana Grande or a …….. (see, I can’t even think of a popular current male singer)!
Just because your musical tastes include modern stuff, that doesn’t make you superior to those that don’t want to listen to it.

Rap is an art form. You may not like it, or not like the fact that it is an art form - but it is one. Individuals certainly choose which art forms they do and do not like but they don't get to decide that an art form is not an art form on the basis that they don't like it.

My comments on this... someone is dead, that's absolutely a tragedy. He was someone's son, father and loved one. Was he a nice person? Doesn't seem to have been particularly, but we are all more than the sum of our worst deeds and worse than the sum of our best, and I didn't know him personally to judge. I understand why his ex is angry that people are speaking for her. Clearly whatever he has or hasn't done it's for the rule of law to deal with and whoever killed him needs that same rule of law applying to them. As for him being a Rap artist, I don't personally like his stuff, but that's incidental.

Many years ago Voltage, I moved into a semi that was joined on to Mr & Mrs Scuzzbucket.
 Junior Scuzzbucket used to play ‘Snooker Loopy’ by Chas and Dave from early in the morning to late at night.
It went on for weeks.
