To be fair, at the time I don't think you can have anticipated the impending minority government and all that entailed -- I'm more interested in how much has changed since the heady days of an actual Tory majority.

The loss of Davis and Johnson, two big Brexit beasts, is a mortal blow to May's authority, if she ever had any in the first place. Her days are numbered. She had her chances and she blew them spectacularly. What we thought was Maggie Mk 2 has turned out to be Major Mk 2.

Farage has threatened Conservative Remainer MPs in marginal seats that he will make them lose their seats.
Just a slight reality check, Farage lost every Westminster election that he contested.

Davis a big beast? I don't know what Sir Humphrey would say about that...he's only spent a few days in Brussels during his tenure, while Humph has had a team of seventeen hundred experts working at for two years. Politicians are just clowns, to distract us from the real machinations of State.

UKIP are dead and buried. Farage or not.
Hard Brexit is dead and buried. The choices are something based on Chequers or crash out and the latter will only happen if the govt and the EU fail to agree - which is possible but probably less likely now.
Provided the brexiters in Parliament don’t advance the prospects of Corbyn by making life difficult for her, which of course they very well might, May is stronger now as far as negotiations are concerned. Johnson and Davis going to be supplanted by more responsible and competent and loyal replacements: she actually looked happy in the Commons yesterday.
Can’t see anyone challenging her who’d stand a chance of winning.
Going back to UKIP forget it: the situation is now completely different. Farage is good for Brexit only to a limited extent: largely he’s a divisive figure and a turn-off for weaker brexiters and certainly for everyone else. Election? What election? If Tory mps try to bring one about now they’re even pottier than we thought

It pains me to say this, but as a dyed-in-the -wool Tory this mess is entirely of May's own making. She should go now, and swiftly. The problem is that with Corbyn at the helm Labour are unlikely to form a majority government. Any future election will probably result in another hung parliament and more chaos. The Tories should ditch May and elect an uncompromising Brexiteer. That way we might make progress.

Of course I'd vote UKIP. They've yet to finish the job. Surely it's only remainers trying to make out it's finished when we've still to extract ourselves ? The public have shown that they aren't bright enough to vote the party into power once, but enough MPs to concentrate government minds might be enough.
