Yet another U-Turn from Dear Donald.

No doubt the clamorous pro-Trump people will have excuses ready - or perhaps designate it fake news, in the true style of their idol.

Zacs ... it's something you malicious Trump bashers know little about ..... honesty. ;o)
Trump bashes himself (or so I’ve heard).
Trump went against his own security agencies, siding with the Russians when he said that he didn't believe that they had meddled in the 2016 American elections.

After he said that, I assume someone sat him down and impressed upon him that as President of the United States, he really shouldn't be siding with Russia against his own agencies.

The following day, he says he 'mis-spoke'.

As Margot Channing said in All About Eve:

“Fasten your seatbelts, it's going to be a bumpy night.”
You shouldn't believe everything you hear.
Come on Naomi, you'll be back tomorrow claiming you 'mistyped :-)
Haaaaaaaa^^^
Surely everyone knows by now that Trump puts things out there, then 'clarifies' if things don't go so well for him ? It's his normal process.
Not me, Ken. I don't tell lies.
With what is happening in the world of politics, it's just as well Spitting Image isn't on television any more.

Each episode would have to be about six hours long...
Minkyme - // Andy Hughes was just going to mention monkey boy to the above post. //

I wasn't - please don't second-guess what I may or may not post.

Thanks.
I find POTUS rather irksome in his back-pedalling.
Insults leaders of various countries and then praises them whole-heartedly when they are visiting the U.S. or he is visiting them.
He doesn't seem to be constant in his opinions imo and that makes him untrustworthy.
not just his opinions, alba, his approach to facts is wildly variable too. I can't help wondering what the likes of Kim and Putin really think of him - but they're way too smart to say.
Untrustworthy alba? You think ? :-)
I am right in thinking there are TWO threads

one with Trump as hero - Trump has done more for world peace than any previous president - and the usual suspects have chorussed
"too right! the trump naysayers will go to Hell and we never lie!"

and another thread with Trump as jerk
and the very same suspects chorus
"what Trump said was ludicrous in the extreme and we never lie!"

only a particularly deep thinker can follow the twists and turns of the two complimentary threads.

complementary - bugga
PeterPedant, //I am right in thinking there are TWO threads //

You are, but yours is practically a duplicate.

Pleased to see you've noticed what I said again. We really have to stop meeting like this. People will begin to talk. ;o)
Cloverjo - // I don't think Bush is a billionaire mogul though, Andy. //

Fair enough, I did imagine a couple of extra noughts to make my point fit - but the notion that only clever people amass fortunes is simply not valid.
Oh, we’re talking honey, don’t you worry ‘bout that.
ichkeria - // His claim that he "misspoke" is simply not credible.
Like many I was watching it at the time and, well, he's simply telling an untruth. //

He's the President of The United States Of America - 'mis-speaking' is simply not an option when you hold that office - unless of course you are singularly ill-equipped to do so ….
Haaa! I know it Zacs. ^There you go PeterPedant. ;o)
