I fail to understand why the 'Second Referendum' supporters don't understand a simple democratic process.
It's not 'best of three', and you don't get another go because you don't like the first result.
That is not how the democratic process works.
Mr Lineker is entitled to his opinion, but I don't agree with him.

"That is not how the democratic process works."
Since there are no established rules in place for how referendums are supposed to work, there is in fact nothing in the democratic process to rule out a second, third, fourth... referendum.
Not that I'd advocate holding referendums ad nauseam until "we" won one, but as a matter of fact it's equally wrong to insist that a second referendum is undemocratic.

Spath, //I do recall the first vote being some what of a "lets just see" vote//
You’re dreaming. David Cameron said “This is not a debate between politicians. It’s a debate for the whole of the country to get involved in and to make their decision. It’s a very simple question on the ballot paper. You either remain in the European Union or you leave the European Union. It’s a single decision, it’s a final decision.”

I would hazard a guess that had the outcome been different those who consistently worm around the word ‘democracy’ wouldn’t be doing it. Champions of democracy all … when it suits them!

With the acceptance of a democratic vote comes the inevitable agreement one doesn't keep voting until the vote caller is happy. It doesn't need stating explicitly because nothing else makes any sense. It's an EU trick to make out otherwise, and unacceptable in any democratic nation or organisation; nor by any individual who can genuinely say that they believe in democracy. The decision to leave is already made. It's up to government to get the details right; it's what they're paid to do. Not that it's doing a great job of it.
