If you're not happy with the democratic process of the UK, then why not sell up, pack your bags and ship yourselves off to a non-democratic country, how does Iraq, Libya, Cuba, Morocco, Turkmenistan, China or Qatar sound, lets see how long you last!
You lost the vote, get over it and thank your lucky stars that a gun wasn't held to your head, telling you HOW to vote and who to vote for!

Airbus people won’t be loosing their jobs. I know several people who work there and all the s....t that was in the press is just bluster because pressure was put on them by the French and German government to push.

So I’m sure the others could be similarly not exactly the truth.

Lies and misleading headlines abound.
OUT - We periodically elect a government to make the best of it and exploit opportunities in the national interest.

IN - We stay as we are for the time being, until the EU decide to take away more of our sovereignty and govern us in THEIR interests, and there would be nothing we could do about it, because, as we see time and time again, they don't like democracy.
I don't know about the rest of them but Elton John and the Blairs both have more than one house in the UK, Elton also has houses in France and the USA, and Tony is forever holidaying at grace and favour homes of 'friends' in Tuscany and the Carribbean. These people can (and do) get out of Britain for a good part of the year, but the people who Brexit will affect most are the British public, the majority of whom voted to leave the European Union and are quite happy to live with the consequences of leaving the EU.

I voted to remain, but I am not a Remoaner. I accept the vote, and now want Brexit to be a success for our country. Project Fear rolls on, and those chewing the sour grapes continue bitterly talk down the economy, refuse to project a positive vision of Brexit and criticise and begrudge the voting public. The bitter ones should, I believe, accept the result of the Referendum and get put their efforts and mouths into making Brexit a success. Britain always bounces back, whatever difficulty or crisis it has thrown at it- we will get through Brexit and come out stronger for it, despite the naysayers and the "Yesterdays men" listed above.
I'm certain that , had the vote gone the other way , there would not be calm and peace on the sea .

The Brexiteers would be trying to engineer another vote ( despite what they say ) and would not sit silently
Saint Nigel said a few days before the referendum:

// "In a 52-48 referendum [and Brexit lost] this would be unfinished business by a long way. [meaning the close call would merit further campaigning againt the referendum result]. //

And Saint Nigella is n3ver wrong.
"Remoaners" are not peeved because we lost the vote, but because we worry about what the process of Brexit is doing and will do to our country.
well done spungle for a refreshing attitude. Too bad so many cannot accept the result.
Cloverjo - // "Remoaners" are not peeved because we lost the vote, but because we worry about what the process of Brexit is doing and will do to our country. //

I think everyone worries about the future, but to be honest, none of us know what that future is going to be.

That's the case whether we continue to negotiate, walk away, or have another vote and remain.

No-one knows, everyone is speculating, it's pointless.

If Remoaners are not peeved because they lost the vote, but because they worry about what the process of Brexit is doing then they should have got behind it properly instead of demanding we stay in really, "leaving" in name only, thus encouraging the EU to refuse any reasonable suggestion and not budge from their position. And encourage May to break through our red lines, to boot.
Nigel didn't always say the right thing. This has been unfinished business since at least Maastricht, and arguably since Heath took us in originally, claiming there were no federalist intents but it was merely a trading group.

It would still be unfinished business, but one couldn't expect a reconsideration until a decade or two had underlined how wrong we had been to stay in.
If you lose a vote, you are still allowed to protest and canvas support for a second vote, but if you have any claim be believe in democracy then you know it's wrong to do so, and so don't.

Some are surprised that not all those on the losing side haven't acted responsibly and said "OK, I'd rather it had gone the other way but let's get behind our decision and make it work to our best advantage." Probably correct to claim it was naive to expect everyone to act in a mature manner, but still a sad reflection on our society.
Brilliant post by spungle,Best Answer by far.

But the end game is for your country to essentially not exist, Jo... You are happy with that?
// well done spungle for a refreshing attitude. //

people who voted remain... can go to Qatar

yup - logic on AB in full flow here !
According to Sky News, its starting to look a bit sick for the Brexiteers. 59% of poll want a second referendum, also many who voted leave said they would change their vote to Stay . Opinions are changing, Oh dear!.
You're suggesting project fear is having an effect ? Well maybe we'll reapply to join in twenty years time then.
The problem (as I see it) is that whilst leavers (of which I am one)couldn’t really say what will happen when we leave - remainers couldn’t say what would happen if we stayed. The EU could vote that we all wear green on a Tuesday afternoon and then guess what...
That’s why I voted leave and would do again BUT it would be my last ever vote should we have another referendum- I have a thing about democracy
A Second Referendum is needed . Now that the leavers realise what a mistake they made when they voted NO, on the first one.
Dream on gulliver. Leavers don't regret their decision.
I voted Leave,it certainly was no mistake, would do so again in the UNLIKELY event the Remoaners want a best of three or,a Referendum until they get their own way.!!
