If you're not happy with the democratic process of the UK, then why not sell up, pack your bags and ship yourselves off to a non-democratic country, how does Iraq, Libya, Cuba, Morocco, Turkmenistan, China or Qatar sound, lets see how long you last!
You lost the vote, get over it and thank your lucky stars that a gun wasn't held to your head, telling you HOW to vote and who to vote for!

The general public, remainers or leavers, don't have a say in which elected representative takes which role in parliament; so one can not demand it's Brexiteers who must deliver. It's up to the party in power to decide who does, or who opts to fail to deliver. One is forced to rely on the integrity of those in parliament. Remainers who encourage remainer MPs to try to stay in the EU simply don't help, but actually hinder delivery. It's there improvement opportunities exist.
Had the Remain vote won, those in favour of leaving would have fought every bit of EU legislation at every step, as they always have done. Our government’s agenda at EU summits would be driven by the need to appease the anti EU numbers, as it always has been. I wouldn’t have a problem with that, it is just democracy in action. It seems though that some don’t think it is democracy when it is the other way around.
Garaman, not so. Had Remain won, I would have accepted the result without a fuss. I fully expected Remain to triumph.
Okay, sorry, Naomi, I should have said 'some of those in favour of leaving', as it actually is 'some of those in favour of remaining'.
This is a usual cry from Remainers, it seems to me in the hope of exonerating themselves from their duplicitous intentions. It’s not working for me.
I agree Naomi. I would have accepted the result.
You aren't alone, Naomi, it wouldn't work for any staunch Leaver, otherwise it would blow their argument out of the water.
Garaman, What argument? That the result of a democratic referendum should be respected? Of all the arguments I’ve seen against that not one has blown it out of the water.
Naomi, anyone with half a brain knows that had the Remain camp won by the same margin, some in the Leave camp would be seeking another referendum, led no doubt by their hero. Anyone with half a brain would also know that some of those who wanted to leave would continue to fight against every EU measure the government wanted to adopt. Those Leavers who do have at least half a brain, and know that, have found they have to lie about it otherwise they have no grounds for their argument with the few Remainers who are now taking that position.
Even accepting that Naomi and other Leavers on AB would have, remarkably, abandoned their argument and positions that were often held for decades, they are still pretending that they speak for the full 17 million+ people who voted to Leave.

It amounts to the same thing in the end. Claiming that the argument about whether or not to leave the EU would have ended on June 24th, 2016, had the vote gone the other way, is utterly ludicrous.
Garaman, no doubt some would have sought another vote, but seeking another vote is a world away from deliberately thwarting democracy – which, at the hands of the Remainers – Mrs May included - is what is happening now.

Jim, //they are still pretending that they speak for the full 17 million+ people who voted to Leave.//

No pretence …. but one thing is for sure … the Remainers aren’t speaking for any of them.

You people can squiggle and squirm all you like with your gobbledegook Newspeak – the fact is the majority of people who voted in that referendum are being stitched up – and those who are doing the stitching and encouraging the stitching have nothing to be proud of. Devoid of principle, every one.
