We had a democratic vote, and we won it, get over it.
Garaman; It's a two-way trade and more are imported than exported. So it's a worry for Germany and France
I suggest British motorists buy more Japanese cars, I have had a succession of Honda s - superb cars! (newly a Honda Jazz), great build quality, made in Swindon, employing British workers and better than a lot of EU equivalents.
I think you are missing the point, Khandro. Japanese car companies are here to make cars for the EU market, and we promised them easy access to it. If we can’t deliver that easy access they may go somewhere that can. It isn’t just the finished car either, but also the ease of purchasing parts. The fact that Germany and France also will have a worry selling their cars to the UK won't help Japanese car companies.
The EU are likely to agree a trade deal. It is in their interests to do so.

But by ‘giving in’ they will demand concessions that will be unacceptable. So who will look like the one not being helpful? That’s right folks. The UK. Even though it would not e inthe UK best interests we will be seen as the one being difficult, holding things up etc.
//Togo, what would you say to the Japanese car companies who we enticed to the UK?//
I say we won't stay shackled to the EU ponzi scheme and forgo sovereignty just so that you can sell a few poxy cars. If you can find a better workforce and beat the output achieved in you factories here( they can't even do it in Japan) then sling your hook. Remember the Japanese can also tell the Krauts that if you put tariffs on our cars we will do the same. Mrs Murkhell doesn't control the Japanese parliament you know.
Garaman; Have you ever visited a car plant ? The idea that a car company, Japanese or otherwise, would close down a functioning assembly line, transport all the presses and robotic machinery and all its established infrastructure to another EU country (whose future looks a bit dodgy anyway) and rebuild the whole kitenkaboodle again from scratch to avoid a paltry amount of import duties, is highly risible.
Economics's isn't your subject then, Khandro.
Garaman. Since when was your strong suit economics? So the Japanese close the UK manufacturing sites. Where do they go? Germany? France? Italy? Spain? Expect Seat, Audi, BMW, Mercedes Benz, Volkswagen, Renault, Citroen, Fiat, Alfa Romeo, etc. etc. to have something to say about that. Back to Japan? No way the Yen is far to strong in the GLOBAL market for them to remain competitive. The Japanese themselves said, after the very sensible Brexit vote, that no long term decisions would be made for 10 years or so. Now go back to wringing your own hands and wetting your own bed. The negative vibes that you exude are not valid and even less necessary. Even as we speak the £ falling has made our car exports even more competitive. Think on this, the more you talk us down the easier it is to shatter your rabbit in the headlights position.
You being rude doesn't make your argument any sounder, Togo, and it may be just 'a few poxy cars' to you, but thankfully I suspect our government will see it differently.

You still appear not to understand democracy Spath, the vote was counted, you lost!
I think that Spath's tic is telling us that after months of accusing Brexit voters that they didn't know what they were voting for, it now seems that Remoaners didn't know what they were voting for. Haha.

Is This An Acceptable Compromise?

No. I voted to leave and not for a compromise.
I've not read all the answers, but I've read the proposal, and ….. no, it will not do. I voted for freedom, not some quasi fiefdom with a pretence of sovereignty.
