So, the twelve who heard the whole evidence, not just the gutter media's smears, found him not guilty. Now he can resume his unjustly interrupted career.

So - a "something or nothing" scuffle outside a club has given a PCSO (Keystone Cop) her moment in the sun and (probably) cost England the Ashes. Stokes may be a loud arrogant knob ... or he may be a lovely chap - I have no way of knowing - but there was certainly some nasty "cutting him down to size" going on from the Lilliputians in uniform and the CPS desk wallahs...

Surely you did not expect him to be found guilty?.

I didn't no, but some posters did.
Just blokes being idiots by the sound of it. If they arrested every man who was a p I l l o c k on a night out they'd need a prison on every high street

I thought we were playing India, either that or the Aussies have given up using sunscreen
well whenever I question the outcomes of our judiciary I get a tirade of, "you don't know all the facts" yada yada from TROB so I refer the OP to previous answers given, probably by him in the past.
he was suspended for the ashes series, the powers that be obviously considered him to be guilty

He was 'unavailable' last winter SoulD, as the cricketing authorities had a blue funk about him being charged.
and as much as they tried to use the homophobic slant in all the news etc they failed, sky are still using it now...hahaha..good on ya Ben
Good, this case seemed to stink from the outset.
"Just blokes being idiots by the sound of it."

my guess is after failing to bribe the bouncer to let him back into the club, they got some lip from the "gays" and thats how it started...theyll probably keep their mouths shut now...
he punched out a couple of yobs, end of.
I don't think we'll need him for the next test as we seem to have had a little win over India........ Which poor sod are they going to drop from a winning side to accommodate Stokes, I wonder?
they could drop Cook, after all he's dropped a fair amount and not made that many runs. However, Pope will be shoved out.
Tricky problem, Welshy - I think they've omitted him for Trent Bridge as he probably wouldn't be match fit in time - so Curran/Woakes/Rashid need to perform there I think :)
I'm surprised he has the time, what with all that God bothering in his day job.
DTC - I think he should get a run (excuse the pun) in the team. They should be blooding the young guns. Leave Pope and Curran in for the series and give them the experience.
Dave - Rashid wasn't needed at Lords, Trent Bridge might be more to his liking
Agreed, Welshy - not having a frontline spinner would be a mistake,
Trent Bridge won't be turning that much - that would play too much into the Indian strengths. Nah, I agree in keeping the current line up and Stokes, as mentioned, could well be off the boil...though he may be looking to smash the ball around to work out his frustration.
