It's one more example of The President's inability to understand that, contrary to what he believes, he really does live in the same world as the rest of us, with attendant consequences for actions.

Ms Daniels is probably reaching the end of her not especially distinguished career or choice, so the opportunity for some further notoriety, and financial gain, is probably not one she is keen to see slip by.

No doubt The President is surrounded by experienced advisors who are telling him to ignore this, and let it quietly slip away - but equally with no doubt, having his reputation and physique maligned in this way, The President is unlikely to let it lie.
