I know who's side I'm on but I'll wait and see which way the thread goes.

A shocking indictment here how some parents take their parental responsibilities these days. Kids can't put their coats on or tie their shoelaces. If the parents won't discipline their children you would think they would give their children their time to teach them how to get dressed and use the toilet by the time they reach primary school level????? Obviously total indifference to their children's welfare and upbringing.
Perhaps they need a French Bus driver to slap a bit of nous into them?
That's a better suggestion than most here but why go to the bother of going to France. DIY or is that too much bother to for our hard done by parents with their busy lives and faces gawping at Facebook all day?

'Teach them some manners' jack? Yes.
Yeah coz slapping a child around will make it use the toilet earlier.

I didn't say that and well you know it. I accepted your apology with the good grace it was given when you misread my thread yesterday but do not twist what I say today.
My suggestion is obvious. If children were afforded more attention and care by their parents they wouldn't need to go to school in nappies at primary school level. I am suggesting parents, some, abrogate themselves of proper parenting and that includes discipline.
Just imagine the ridicule and bullying a young child may get from his peers who are able to use the toilet correctly when your child turns up in a nappy or has an accident. That is child neglect and I would suggest abuse for a parent to allow that to happen because they are lazy and indifferent.
Please do not twist my words.
No I haven't raised a child - but I know right from wrong and I also know the impact of getting many a slap. RR

Yeah and I’ve seen the impact(several times) of pedestrians hit by vehicles.
Worst ever was watching an 8 year old boy bleed to death on the table, struck by a female driver in a BMW as he zoomed across the road on his bike. Poor lady was driving normally, within the speed limit and this kid came from an adjoining hill.
She struck him at 40 mph, he came to rest against a lamp post 20 metres away.
She was left utterly distraught but hey, we’ve all got stories, haven’t we?
Thankfully, some of us live in the real world so if you want to start a counter petition against the 300,000 backing the driver, help yourselves.
And all that^ has to do with a French Coach Driver slapping a schoolboy.......how?
The driver himself regrets his actions, he knows his response though driven through shock and frustration was wrong.
Chilldoubt no doubt you feel like a big person because you think its right to slap a child!
Do you think slapping a child would have stopped that child getting killed?
I've just read a few of the responses - however if the majority opinion is that the Bus driver was correct in his actions ; then i'm surprised, to say the least .

There have been more than one occasion in the past when i have been driving and a kid has ran in front of my car ; causing me to stand on my brakes .

Should i have then got out of my car , go over to the kid and give him/her a slapping ? really ?

If someone had done that to my kid - that wouldn't have been the end of it
> so if you want to start a counter petition against the 300,000 backing the driver, help yourselves

Nope. Every post I've written supports the driver, saying that (rather than a medal) he needs help and support to overcome his road rage issues before he really harms someone.

I haven't written a single post in support of the child or his mother.

The whole premise of the OP (whose side are you on) is wrong. It's possible to think the driver was wrong, while supporting the driver, *and* think the child was wrong, without wishing to see him slapped in the street.

I’d have just been thankful that my child wasn’t dead through stupidity and excused the driver their understandable actions.
Funny how he keeps being referred to as a child. A good look at the video shows a group of feral young thugs in the making with no apparent respect for anything.
But its not understandable to slap a child at all.
At 12 he's legally a child.
Feral young thugs? You get that from that short clip?

And when you found out your little darling had told the driver to 'F*** off' Bazille. What then?
There were two short clips there uuuum. 3 if you include the bus driver's. Plenty of time to spot the feral youths to whom Sparkykid alludes
I can only seen one clip.

I think people have forgotten what it's like to be a kid.
