Firstly, no-one has suggested that 'Tommy' did anything wrong. 'Tommy' did what 'Tommy' always does - saw a potential to boost is profile on social media, and took the opportunity.

The MOD's reaction is not connected with not having a sense of humour, or with PC thinking - they take the represnetaiton of HM's armed forces to the public very seriously, and they are not impressed when their soliders are (unwittingly it's true) duped into apearing to endorse the views of a far-right activist.
