Lots of young men training to defend us slated by an 'Islamic Advisor to the Armed Forces, who would probably turn on the lot of them given half a chance. Why on earth do we need an Islamic Advisor? Because the major terrorist threats against the UK come from individuals who claim that Islam is their justification for their terrorism, so it's as well to have someone who actually knows and understands Islam as an advisor on the subject.

If Muslims are allowed to cheer and follow know terrorists giving speeches in Hyde Park then a few young soldiers having a laugh with a Politician should be accepted too.

The issue for the military, is that this is an unapproved and unsanctioned piece of publicity for 'Tommy Robinson', using soldiers employed by the Ministry of Defence.

The Ministry has to be very careful about its public perception, and cannot be seen to apparently endorse the views of an individual without proper authority - which risks bringing the military into disrepute.
