What an astonishingly stupid and ill-informed woman.

WW1 was not the simple 'fight to save our country' that WW2 was - indeed it *was* mainly about the male patriarchy and aristocracy settling scores in an expansionist war - but the people who fought and died in it were no part of that.

We should respect and applaud their heroism and sacrifice, even if we deplore the actions which placed them in that situation - the blind failure to understand that leaves me speechless.
