I always find an aniseed-covered bone comes in handy - just chuck it towards them, and scarper while they’re slavering over it.
The latter then. Par for the course.

Didn't take me long to be reminded why I am getting continually less enamoured by the News section as per an earlier post. Your constant stalkers/snipers are a source of irritation .

Naomi so they are prejudice then.. they have a preconceived idea of how a situation / interaction will go with an individual based on separate incidents.

Everyone is an individual. Each situation is individual. Preconceived ideas from experience or what not is prejudiced
Spath, yes, everyone is an individual, but when civility is met with rejection, aggression, or contempt, the civil, if they have any sense at all, learn by experience.
naomi I don't half admire you for plodding on in the face of, dare I say it, such nonsense x
Question Author
HereIAm are you qualified to recognise nonsense?

Given that the link is all about the US of A I guess the whole thing is moot.
spath - you spout it ALL the time ...
Question Author
See people, when even the question of "Do We Need More Civility In The Uk?" I'm met with such dismissal and rudeness at the simple question. So it's obvious that we do.
hereIam, haha! Patience is my forte - until I lose it. ;o)
Retrocop, you noticed. ;o)
Vice article blaming Trump and Republicans for lack of civility in politics. Which Spath swallows and runs with.
Reality check;

I was trying to go for the far right white terrorism
America certainly does.
As for here, a bit more civility never hurt anyone. I can’t imagine why one would argue against that. It’s possible to make one’s point and conduct one’s policies without making an ass of oneself. That is the problem with Trump in the US, as the current leader. Even if he does enact a decent policy it’s hard to see him winning over constituencies he’s slaughtered, metaphorically, for so long. And although US politics was on a downward spiral before him, his arrival has accelerated the process
Funny old World. After decades of luvvie and leftie insults the victims of the abuse have decided to push back rather than just ignore it and do the windy finger next to the temple response. It became obvious that just shrugging the shoulders was only taken as an encouragement. Now when they get some back, the snotflakes go into meltdown and squeal whoooo you nasty (pick your own gender here from the 72 available), that makes me so upset that I am thinking even less than I was when it was me being insulting. Bless.
Snotfalkes eh. The use of the term , along with hackeneyed meaningless terms terms like snowflakes, TROB, yoghurt knitters, Tibetan peace porridge, liberal lefties, etc, just sums up the lack of ideas from some posters who rather than put together coherent arguments just go onto autopilot and churn out cliches and what they think are witticisms
Well said, FF!
Haha a typo is a wonderful trigger for the readily inflamed. Just be more civil you, you, you friction fantasy. :))
I would have expected something more incisive from the last poster, however perhaps that is asking too much.
