No we bend to 'ethnic minorities' far too much as it is. They should integrate or move.

If you read the article, AL it's statements liek that which lead to extremism and in a lot of cases far right terrorism from more often than not white people.
The article is about the USA . You asked about the UK.
//Since 9/11 radical right wing groups have committed far more major acts of terrorism than Muslim extremists.//

Not in this country.

No, we don't need more civility in this country. We need to stop pussyfooting and start saying 'no'.
Question Author
Are we not allowed to review the actions in our own country based from experience in others? I'm well aware my article is about the US.
//Since 9/11 radical right wing groups have committed far more major acts of terrorism than Muslim extremists.//

Their experience isn't ours.

You've taken time to read the article, Naomi?
Question Author
Can we not get educated on how right wing attitude has lead to right wing extremism in america and how this same attitude may become more and more apparent in the UK?
I have.
What attitude would you like us to have?
Question Author
Nice!

And none, only the attitude you feel is correct.

Do you not think looking at how social norms affect such things in one country could potentially help us figure out where we're going with our own?
I have no idea what you mean by 'Nice', nor by 'social norms'. What are American 'social norms' and how do they relate to British 'social norms'?
Question Author
A social norm in america is obviously incivility to minorities.
Question Author
I see incivility towards minorities in the UK. Just look at the first few replies.
//I see incivility towards minorities in the UK.//

You do? Where? Personally, I think this country is very accommodating.
Question Author
Do you not think that parts of the UK can be quite prejudice to minorities such as, the homeless, Muslims, immigrants?
Spath - run for the hills, the pack hasn’t had a kill for a day or two.
Prejudice is an opinion that isn’t based on experience or reason. Some people are prejudiced, but I think most of those perceived to be prejudiced base their opinions on experience or reason. Therefore they are not prejudiced. They have a reason for thinking as they do. People who have tried to give food to the homeless and had it thrown back at them, money being the preference, for example. Those people have a reason not to offer to help again. You would no doubt regard them as prejudiced whereas in reality their reluctance to offer help again is based on their experience.
bainbrig, are you going to join this discussion or have you just popped in to be rude to people?
