It OK when people are burning effigies of people they don’t like as long as the effigies are not of minorities or Muslims/ Muslim religious figures etc. As long as The effigy is of a white person, not from a minority, is Christian and British they are OK. Well that’s how it seems at any rate.

Things steeped in tradition don't always sit well or comfortably in this modern day as we've seen and heard a lot of in recent years - from Gollies to Morris Dancers to The Britannia Coconut Dancers of Bacup, but it pays to know the difference behind things like that and nasty hurtful hateful acts aimed at the recently bereaved.
