Shame he didn't throw his hat into the ring to become the Conservative leader. Being a pragmatic, and honourable man though he knows that it would have been difficult to advise Her Majesty on the appointment of C.of E. bishops. That will not though stop a muslim candidate taking the position if the opportunity arrives I am sure.
