What has Jezza got as an alternative? Apart from screaming "general election" like a broken record what would Jezza and his crew do differently? I'm not advocating the deal as it stands so If Labour has ideas let's hear them.

Corbyn has no better idea than May what or how to do it. But.. What he needs to do is go through the agreement piece by piece and dissect it on the debate. Make her justify each concession and when/how this effects the future. Last year, a mere two - not five - years after the previous General Election, the Maybot was the one screaming "General Election!" That was because she'd been convinced by her advisers that the Tories would win in a landslide. They didn't.
Let's see how they try to get out of it!
Corbyn would absolutely destroy her.

I' not saying Corbyns ideas would be perfect, but he would not go through with this deal.

This is not what the public voted for, and at least corbyn knows that.
Corbyn has no better idea than May what or how to do it.

But..

What he needs to do is go through the agreement piece by piece and dissect it on the debate.

Make her justify each concession and when/how this effects the future.

He needs to be able to pin her down on why the vast majority think this is a crap deal and not get bogged down with posturing and point scoring.

At this stage he doesn’t need to have solutions he needs to hold her accountable and not allow non answers that say chuff all.

Personally I don’t think he has the brain power to do that because he is a backbench activist out of his depth so will use the opportunity to grandstand and make no impact on what we want to hear.
even still, corbyn hasn't sat with people for over two years discovering and negotiating what is and isn't possible so of course he hasn't got a 'deal' ???
Corbyn is it seems the only hard-Brexiter with any influence. I would indeed be interested to see how he represents his side...

cassa's nailed it, BA
Is this the say Theresa May who chickened out of the General Election debates, and saw the Conservative majority smashed to the point that she relies on sectarian terrorists to get anything through parliament?

A debate with Corbyn is a terrible idea and would only be a sideshow. Corbyn would probably win anyway because May’s Deal is Universally disliked by everyone. But I really don’t see any point. We have had two and a half years to get this right, and the Government have flunked it.

If I were Corbyn, I would agree to a debate AFTER the vote is lost, but that is not May’s game here.
evidently he's not a back bench activist.
Spare, he is in spirit just a backbench activist. Just because he happens to have been promoted above his pay level doesn’t change his basic nature.
That should have been to Spath note spare lol
It certainly does. He would be our prime minister if the general election went more red than blue last vote.
The whole Brexit process has been hampered throughout by splits in the Conservative party. We have had dozens of Ministers abandon their posts and resign. We have had rebellions and mutinys, just at the time when the country needs to get this most important change in 40 years, right.
The reason the Brexit Deal is such a shambles, is because it was concocted by a shambolic Government who have consistantly put Party before country.
If the labour party were the ones to lead and crack a deal then they certainly would care about the deal they got, and not just the fact they "managed to get a deal"
Interesting. I can't think why she'd want to do this.
The reason the Brexit deal is a shambles is because it was always going to be so. Labour would have done no better: for them to claim otherwise is wholly dishonest. I’d love to see Corbyn v May just for the hell of it, but unless Corbyn can present a realistic alternative scenario that he actually supports them I don’t see the point. Screaming about a general election or a new Deal is pointless whether he argues it with May or with his own reflection in the mirror
More Tweedledum and Tweedledee - embarrassing. Surely people know what they want by now, no subject has ever been covered so much.
I'd pay not to watch it
There are waverers because they simply don’t know who to trust.

May has lied so much and project fear has played its part in people not believing what is said. A debate or more like making May accountable may well go some way to address that.
Waste of time, neither of them should be leaders of their partys.
Can't imagine why anyone would bother agreeing with a public debate between two folk without a clue. We can already hear/read the criticism from those who have been able to analyse the "deal"; it's become clear it isn't valued by many. It needs to go, any TV debate about it between 2 remainers is irrelevant and simply about personalities.
I don't think Corbyn is a remainer, OG.
