I am exasperated daily by the leave argument that the referendum result was it and no one can change their mind. If that were the case we would only ever have one general election. It is clear that the balance of public opinion has changed towards remaining ing the EU. Common sense has returned and we shall be the better for it.

The difference is a General election is not about asking the public about a single policy decision. The referendum was. We said leave.

good morning rich, no way will the leavers change their minds, not the ones i have spoken with, nor any on here. Many feel we should honour our financial obligations and then go for a no deal. The deal that is on the table doesn't suit anyone, and no to another referendum, that is as they say a step too far. Democratic vote to leave in 2016, then that is what we will do come March 2019.

General elections are governed by the fixed term Parliament act i.e. 5 years unless a Prime Minister decides to call one and then he/she needs a two thirds majority of M.P.'s in parliament to agree.The referendum was called as a one off vote and not a best of three and I think views on both sides of the argument have become more entrenched but the leave or remain percentage is probably still about the same.

However given a choice of deal or no deal. Right now I would prefer to risk the no deal option. The deal on offer still leaves s too much meddle space for Europe and during the interim period would be a minefield.

i would most definitely go for the No Deal, especially as this deal keeps up bound hand and foot to the EU, its not a good deal for the UK as a whole.

When she holds another referendum up there can the English vote too. The last survey said more English would vote for an independent Scotland than Scots.

Some countries have had referendums time and time again until the voters vote the "right way". Thankfully, we are in Britain, and the British people aren't fools.

Imagine it had gone for remain. Can you imagine the laughter if leavers were asking for a rerun?

All along the EU have made it hard for us to leave, so some people now think that leaving is a "disaster".

But is being in the EU so great?

Look at youth unemployment (under 25) across Europe

Greece 43%, Spain 34%, Italy 31%, Portugal 21%

Being in the EU does not seem so great for those countries.

Note also that as we are one on the biggest contributers IN to the EU budget we are paying to prop these countries up.

Personally I am fed up with paying Child Benefit for Polish children (yes if a Polish worker (or other EU worker) comes to the UK to work WE pay Child Benefit for their children, even if the still live in Poland. An at UK rates, not local rates.

Can you imagine how much UK child benefit is in say Romania? Probably worth coming here just for the child benefit for some Romanians

I voted leave and I am still glad we are leaving.

Is it? All that has happened is that, predictably, the EU has made leaving such an unpleasant experience and the "deal" very much worse than remaining that it seems that remaining may be "less bother". Well nobody with any sense believed it would be no bother (knowing the eu or what it is). In the words of JFK, we don't do things because they are easy. We need to leave the EU because it is the right thing to do.

If the remainers had respected the vote and gone along with it then maybe the EU would have given us a better or reasonable deal compared to the one offered now. They know there are people who did not want to leave including many in government and they have played to them the whole way through the talks. If we are to remain democratic then we should have gone along with the vote and the remainers should accept what the majority of us voted for as they would have expected us leavers to do had the vote gone the other way.

Kromo, freedom to trade and make our own laws etc as has been outlined many times before.

Krom, the better deal is that we won’t be beholden to the EU. We will be free to make our own laws, make trade deals around the world, we will be able to control our borders and govern ourselves with our own elected representatives and all done without the huge monetary deficit we pay into the EU.

Once out we can negotiate a trade deal with the EU if they chose to be reasonable.

In the mean time WTO is just fine. The only reason it is seen as chaos is because Remain has played it that way.

Remain use inflammatory and fear inducing rhetoric to push the chaos and cliff edge panic.
