One key difference, OG, is that the Good Friday Agreement has already been implemented, in full, in UK and Irish law. This makes it much more difficult to change and compromise, as necessary, as compared with the Withdrawal Agreement, which is only a draft yet to be ratified.

The problem is - people may think she must go, but no-one with any sense wants to take her place. It’s a major poinsoned chalice.
This is where we are -
Those who wanted to leave, do not want this partial half/leave.
Those who wanted to stay, do not want this partial half/leave.
I bet if you spoke to anyt of your mates, they would say - “This isn’t what I voted for”.
That’s no-one had the opportunity to say at the time because no-one knew it was going to be so shambolic. And more importantly, no-one knew the Tories would call a disasterous General Election, and be ion hock to the DUP.
Brexit is an abortion.
Surely everyone can see that?

Following the story on the Times I found this article about New Zealand. Those of my age will remember this early example of betrayal by a UK Government. It was the reason why I voted (uselessly) against the Tories in the election which led to the Heath government and (uselessly) for "out" in the Wilson referendum. And why I voted equally uselessy for Brexit in 2016.

Oh how remainers ask was this the deal you voted for? Was it this deal or Norway or Canada +++ . Well no. I voted to leave.
It’s that simple.
Leave with ‘no deal’ was by and far the ‘best deal’ because then the UK could legitimately negotiate to join the bits it wanted to. We may or may not have got what we wanted but we would be free to do whatever we liked. But what most don’t seem to have noticed is that this isn’t actually a deal for the future. It is just the withdrawal deal so isn’t actually what the actual deal looks like (although I fully accept remain want all the benefits of staying in so this is probably a good look at the final deal)
Which bit of leave did you not understand?
In fact which bit or Reaganism did you not understand.
Remain voted to join the EU army, join the Euro, Be governed by unelected penpusher, lose all say in foreign policy, lose our rebate and much more besides.
Because there is no such thing as the STATUS QUO in the EU

No, leave means leave the EU control, regardless. As I and others have pointed out umpteen times, any deal is separate to leaving. No matter how many times remainers try to blame Brexiteers for the present circumstances regardless what "deal" caused by a remainer PM, remoaner dissent, and the EU is offered, there is still only one form of Brexit. But this still seems to need to be regularly pointed out.
The only reason we got a referendum was because David Cameron feared a routing in the 2015 due to Tory voters casting their vote for UKIP and not the Tories. So the referendum was to save his job and his party.
He then believed he could negotiate a better deal before the referendum. He failed miserably. Leave won the vote and Cameron legged it.
In a farcical leadership election, no Leave candidates came forward, and May was crowned PM unappossed.
And so to the present. May presents a deal that is supported by no one. She has had to cancel the vote in parliament because it is bound to be an embarrassing defeat for her. We seem to be at an impass.
When the history of Brexit is written, the Conservative Party will not come out of it very well at all.
