I'm saying only that Theresa May's track record of "listening" is, so far, not exactly brilliant (understatement).
Also, I don't believe I've ever said I'm always right, because it's demonstrably false. I try my best, is all. It's not difficult to find examples where the EU gave ground in the negotiations. They have been obscured because the UK has given even more, but such cases still exist. The most notable example is that the "Backstop" solution the EU proposed was originally to extend to the entire of the UK, rather than merely Northern Ireland. Whether that marks progress is up to interpretation, but it still represents the EU ceding ground on one of its earlier points.
It's not a matter of me being always right and everyone else always wrong. It's just that on *this* case you might have to check more carefully.

As a staunch Labour supporter and a firm remained, I am disgusted with Corbyn's attitude. I believe he should have sat down with May. It is not costing him anything and for the sake of his personal feelings towards Brexit which should have been put aside, he should have helped instead of writing a stupid letter. His actions at this time will cost him the 2022 elections.
Spath, hate to rain on your parade - but he cant strike a deal, much as he would like to think he has he does not have any pwer otehr than as a vote in teh house.
He has stated he would be much better over and over, so here is is chance to step up to the mantle. Problem is I suspect he knows full well the EU wont give him any deal either - They intend to punish the UK.

I'm sure if the vote went the other way, he would step up to the mantle. However, the conservatives evidently are confident, so let em get on with it and do their job.. Oh wait, but they can't, cus they need to have a chat with Jeremy?
Worst case scenario, blame the past two years on the leader of the opposition, who as you've said, has no power other than as a vote in the house.

steg, //Then blame them that voted for the gov we have...//
///Had Corbyn been PM and responsible for negotiations, we would still have ended up with a deal that no one wants. He doesn't want 'No Deal'. Party politics isn't the issue here.///
But he wasn’t , so we won’t probably know.
It was the government that is/was responsible for the negotiations with the eu no one else
