I think you misinterpret what I am saying - I don't 'support' any religion, I believe they are all flawed belief systems based on the psychological need for mankind to believe in a higher power, whatever that may be, from the sun and the moon, to God, and so on.
If you believe I have not answered your question as to 'Why?' - it is because I don't believe you have produced sufficient credible evidence to back up your supposition.

I am entitled to my view, and accept that you constantly ridicule it.
It doesn't make either or us right - but the difference is, you scoff at me, I simply don't agree with you - that says something about us as individuals, I am sure you will agree.

Your question is about the UK.
The evidence you present is about antisemitism in 8 EU countries. I am sure jewish people are regarded differently in Belgium, France, Germany, Hungary, Italy, Latvia and Sweden than they are in the UK which has a long record of accepting Jewish refugees.
I tend to put down the increase in antisemism down to not more crimes happening, but more crimes being recorded. The figures used to be solely from the police. Now, Jewish groups such as Shomrim and the Community Security Trust actively seek out crimes, and their criteria for what is an antisemitic crime is pretty lax. So the figures have rocketed but nothing has really changed.

Andy-hughes, I do agree we are very different people, thankfully. For one thing I don’t enter into arguments on subjects of which I’m ignorant and I do my best to post that which can be verified. You, on the other hand, make claims that are not only unfounded – but demonstrably grossly inaccurate. That Islam is intolerant is not a matter of ‘opinion’.
As for any increase being driven by muslims, there is no evidence to support it.
Inter-faith groups work very had to bring tolerance and understanding between the various religious groups in this country. The will be extremists at the fringes of all religions, but most supporters are not hostile to other religiousorders.

THECORBYLOON, //According to British Muslim journalist Mehdi Hasan, "anti-Semitism isn’t just tolerated in some sections of the British Muslim community; it’s routine and commonplace". A 2016 survey of 5,446 adult Britons, part of a report titled Anti-Semitism in contemporary Great Britain that was conducted by the London-based Institute for Jewish Policy Research, found that the prevalence of anti-Semitic views among Muslims was two to four times higher than the rest of the population, 55% of British Muslims held at least one anti-Semitic view, and that there was a correlation between Muslim religiosity and anti-Semitism. //

Mamyalynne, how has the tone shifted? The OP is about Muslims and anti-Semitism.
I haven't fully answered the question. The finger isn't pointed at the Muslim community because society pussyfoots around the Muslim community. Social cohesion, tolerance, respect for ethnic minorities, respect for religion ... the list goes on. That's not to say the Labour Party is squeaky clean. It isn't.

I think you'll find it is you who makes 'claims', I am simply offering a viewpoint. Unlike some, I don't claim to be an expert because I have 'studied' a subject.
Deep grounding in any subject is not a prerequisite for an opinion - if it were, this site would have died years ago.

Andy-hughes, although you’re right in one respect – I have studied the subject – you’re wrong in another. I’ve never claimed to be an expert. You make that claim on my behalf… on a regular basis.
//The media doesn't 'pussyfoot' around anything - if there was veracity to this nonsense, the tabloids would have been all over it like a rash.//
I didn’t say ‘the media’ – I said ‘society’ – and the reason that the tabloids aren’t all over it like a rash is because ‘society’ pussyfoots around it – and the media is part of that society..

I disagree that the media is 'part of that society' - I believe that the media delights on agitation, because it sells papers, and this would be far too easy a target to miss if it was indeed available.
We all know that the media is not beyond simply making up a prejudice to poke the bear so the fact that they have not done so here underlines the paucity of evidence, even manufactured evidence.
