If she committed treason, then the consequence is life imprisonment. It changed to this in 1998 when it use to be the death penalty

I don't think he *wants* her to come home, but he is entirely correct to say that leaving somebody stateless is against international law. So the question becomes whether that is what the Home Secretary has done by taking away her UK citizenship.

I don't have much sympathy for her, but the law should still be respected, not least because there's now a young baby involved.
