Do we really know if she did actually give birth to a baby, and that a baby she might be holding is actually hers?

I wanted her to come back, face trial, and appropriate punishment, Get the child to nice moderate intelligent foster care so it has a chance of a decent life. The only thing I would suggest is this person so many are attacking acted out of misplaced idealism as a silly little girl who wanted to chase a fantasy with her friends and she may yet outgrow her current stupidity. She is still only 19, many of us were fiercely idealistic at that age doing things that were unbelievably stupid and which at the time we genuinely believed were the only way to save the world.
Ken Clarke (yes he of port, cricket and ex Home Sec) spoke very well about this. He said he could understand the decision to remove her citizenship but that it ought to be balanced by arguments about further radicalisation and that she could become a bit of a rallying point, whereas bringing her back, yes justice but also work on de-brainwashing. And that this has happened to others and they can be very useful, and are used, to get the message across to those thinking of going to Syria that it is far from a bed of roses out there.
The people who went to Spain in the 1930s to fight against Franco went there for clear ideological reasons. Ditto all the thousands of young Western Muslims who have gone to join Isis. How are they (either group) wrong? As it's a point of moral principle (however perverted you may think it) how can you change it short of lobotomy?
Radicalised.
Today’s “go to” word for Muslims who act on their evil ideologies.
I don’t recall IRA members being called radicalised when they were active. Nor the Basque Separatists. Or Hamas.
We all form strong opinions in our teenage years. Some opinions stay with us, and others we realise what a pillock we were, but most of us don’t run off and join a death cult, having taken time to plot and scheme how to do so, and had plenty of time during that plotting and scheming period to change our minds.
This young woman appears to have no remorse for anybody except herself, and will most likely be a danger for the rest of her life.
I presume she only left Islamic State when she realised things weren’t going as she would have liked, so needed a plan B
Assuming there really is a baby, even if it was adopted, I can’t help wonder if somewhere down the line, he’ll be fed stories of how mummy and daddy were prepared to fight for his birthright and heritage, and how they were quashed by the wicked westerners. So, storing up trouble for the future.
Don’t let either of them into the UK. And don’t spend any tax payers money on them.
I wish her nothing but misery for the rest of her life.

Yes, exactly. It is propaganda and deliberate obscurantism. It is telling the lie that ISIS, "Allahu Akbar" acts of terrororism etc. have nothing to do with Islam.
They have, of course, everything to do with Islam. They may be the worst possible interpretations of Islam, but they are still totally plausible and justifiable interpretations.
To all Islamophiles who disagree with the last paragraph, please give me one example of what ISIS has done which Mohammed didn't. Not a lot to ask, is it?
PS: I have one example. But it is just the one.

Anybody care to meet my challenge:
Please give me one example of what ISIS has done which Mohammed didn't or wouldn't approve.
I will give £100 to a charity of your choice (unless I don't like the charity in which case ite money will be given to my cancer charity).
God, this is easy money, isn't it?
By the way, I disallow the exception I've already conceded; the burning of the Jordanian pilot alive. (The burning itself isn't bad, you understand, it's just that Allah has reserved that specific punishment for wrongdoers himself.
The fire of hell - mentioned a lot in the Koran - is a damn sight hotter and more painful than boiling water etc stuff we're familiar with in life you understand. What happens is that the skin gets burnt off. Then the skin gets replaced and gets burnt off again. I don't think there's a statute of limitation on the sentence.
