Seems to me the steward was following protocall. Imagine if he didn't and the plane blew up?

Seems it wasn't so offensive to receive compensation, just a nice feature in the paper.

Is this a new social wave of interest? Aircraft passanger disagreements and social complications? If so i'd like to unoboard the earth.

When i go to an airport i understand that is a privilege, not a right. I understand i'm crossing boarders so i want to remain as complaint and non suspicious as possible to avoid any potability of not flying, or worse, getting arrested. I don't mention anything about bombs i keep myself to myself i dress appropriately and i try not to offend, upset or even communicate to other passengers.

However some people go against all of these things as a way to demonstrate how they should be able to flow through life all righteousness. These people are an issue to society and should be made an example of.

Issue is you can't see someones religion..

I never knew aircrafts timed how long people are in the loo for though.. Maybe the piolot has a "door locked" notification and after 15/20 minutes it prompts him to check no one is smoking or something

It's quite normal to knock on the door if someone has been in the loo for ages. The guy could have been ill. I wish people would stop bloody filming every incident as well.

Checking what's going on after a quarter of an hour seems reasonable. Could've been up to anything. Difficult situation, what's an aircrew member supposed to do for the best ?

If somebody knocked on the door to you, shouted "This is the steward - are you alright?" and you shouted back "Yes, I'll be out in a minute", it's reasonable to expect that he wouldn't unlock the door and walk in on you a few seconds later.

That said, if he did, there would be no evidence at all that it would be because of your race or religion ...

We're assuming the man did shout yes i'll be out in a minute, from the stewards point of view he had no response..

Maybe the man said this whilst pulling up his briefs which mumbled his words, making them inaudible

I think the apology and offering of £500 compensation (making his flight pretty much free) shows EasyJet is taking the professional stance. The man did get caught in the private locked loo with his pants round his knees at the end of the day by the flight steward.. that would be a bit embarrassing

Simples. Unless one is taken seriously ill it is unusual for any normal passenger to take an inordinate amount of time in a cramped airliner loo.
As it was a shorthaul flight from Morocco I would imagine a smaller aircraft may be used with only a couple of passenger conveniences available. Rather selfish to say the least especially for other passengers with small children and babies.
I suppose the assembly of explosive devices in aircraft toilets are never out of the minds of cabin crew especially as it has been done before.
If it is the correct protocol then don't bother with £500 compo and hope this trouble maker does not fly with the airline again,
