Funn-ee. Funn-ee. I'm loving it. Cos I didn't vote, see? And my perception is that those who voted to leave thought it would just be a case of the UK giving notice, then leaving. That's it. We're off.
To the ordinary person in this country, it won't make the slightest difference whether we're in, or we're out. We we still be taken for mugs and have to bail out something or other via increases in taxes. As I see it, for me and thee, in or out, it makes not the slightest difference.
//So EU would have to offer something more otherwise the vote is on the same motion.//
But they won’t so how is it expected to work? Mrs May is clinging to her deal, Bercow says no vote unless there are substantial changes to the proposal, and the EU say there is no room for manoeuvre and that the UK can only delay Brexit if the deal is passed (which sounds awfully like blackmail to me).
No it plainly isn’t the last thing they want us to do.
They want us to stay so badly M Macron in particular seems prepared to boycott any attempt to delay Brexit any longer. Maybe Nigel will send him a gift :-)
Ichkeria, so unconcerned are they at our proposed departure that they’ve made all efforts to facilitate a smooth exit that is beneficial to all – and if you believe that you’ll believe anything.
Many ERG MOs in particular, Rees Mogg for one, when confronted with “but we’ll have to leave with no deal” have offered the assurance that the EU are so desperate for the UK either to stay or not to leave without a deal, that they’ve claimed that the EU would blink. Or that they would do some sort of “ no deal” deal. Whereas most sane people have said that the EU were just as fed up with the whole thing as everyone else and would not countenance furthervdelst without some sort of strategy or plan.
Having said that, Mr Tusk’s response yesterday is not absolutely final I would hazard.
As I said last week we’ll end up in the interesting position where the EU is actually telling us to leave the building!
That seems to be happening now. But we’ll see.
