I may be proven wrong but the chances of AJ making a comeback to 'top class' football are extremely small. Nothing to stop it being a topic for discussion on SKY but broaching the subject at all was inviting trouble and embarrassmen

He was in no way comparing a sex offender to a black person.
Since it is rightly so that there should be a curb on fans shouting abuse to black players, he was just asking if the same action should be taken agains=t other name calling as in this case perhaps the chance of fans calling this convicted and time served sex offender a paedophile, one could also include a known gay player, should they also take the same action over the name calling of them, as they do over the name calling of black players?

I dont think there was any agenda, I really think you credit him with too many brain cells than he owns.
However, something like this is always good for the perpetually offended. What those offended people dont get it that they fuel the hatred. Something like this would have been seen by a small number of people, most who wouldn't have even given it a second thought let alone repeated it or remembered it. Now it is out on 'front page' news for the haters to grab onto.

Racism and homophobia are punishable by law. Calling a convicted sex offender a nonce isn't, as far as i know. Therefore Strachan's choice of analogy was unfortunate, to say the least. Sky obviously feel that he is of no real importance to them as a pundit and they've ditched him at the earliest opportunity.
So Gordon Strachan gets the axe and joins a long line of other pundits who've got the chop.
SKY management do not seem to be learning any lessons.It is all not unlike football bosses who take on ex-professional clubs in the assumption that they will make a good manager.
It is often proven to not be the case because it relies partly upon a different skill set.
Similarly,footballers do not necessarily make good pundits.For all their experience and knowledge of the game,they sometimes are unable to communicate effectively and leave themselves open to criticism.
