I understand that Mail readers have a certain level of antipathy against the Duchess of Sussex - but with the news the she is about to have a baby...the Mail have decided to ban comments on the story.

Why would this be?

No false news at the time AOG, The DM decided to reopen the comments, as stated earlier in the thread.

They are a bundle of joy too like comments all over the internet - sad sacks.

They probably shut off the comments because they expected a reaction which they didn't want or were unable to prevent. They probably re-opened it because they forgot that they didn't care about that kind of thing.

Fair play to them both congrats on any healthy delivery but i'm with the who cares crowd. It really doesn't make two hoots to my life at all. I'm not a fan of the royals in the same way i'm not a fan of any hierarchy.
