Personally I'd prefer Raab but I think Bojo will take some stopping. Anyway until Brexit is resolved there is no point in changing Treason.

The Conservatives don't want any more faceless wonders as their leader, Boris is an excellent choice, and only him can save the Tory Party from extinction that they now face.
If you had suggested a few years ago that Boris would be PM and Trump POTUS you would have been a laughing stock.
Does anyone really think changing leaders will make the EU agree to a better deal?

No. But a different PM might be able to persuade the EU (and Parliament) that we are prepared to leave without their permission.
I think you'd need an anti-EU PM for that. Anyone got any hens teeth, or rocking horse droppings?
ZM, Bojo fits the bill, he is an ardent Brexiteer.
Boris was always just waiting until we got the "scapegoat" out of the way, to ride to the rescue. He is not daft. I suspect we could do much worse than him.
No, not sure now.We will have to wait and see if maybe Raab, who is a Brexiteer, can beat him to the post.,
ha ha. If one of them gets a sniff that it will enhance their career, they'll abandon all pretence of any loyalty and jump ship to the political scenario which best suits their ambition.
ZM, that's a very cynical view, not all politicians are so shallow.
You’d need an anti EU Parliament I think. One that was willing to sanction effectively casting lose. And I cannot see that.
You're right danny. there's....erm....oooh.....erm......you know.......and thingy........erm.......
ZM, those ministers that resigned.
Any of them want to be leader?
Anyway, Ich has it right. It would take an anti-EU parliament.
I'm sure that some of wish to progress further within the government. You were talking about enhancing careers not standing for Prime Minister.
Sorry but I wasn't. When i wrote 'it will enhance their career' I meant becoming leader.
I'd vote for Boris, but we've done all this a couple of days ago;

It's an 'omage to your thread, big K.
Had the Boris Johnson of 2019 been around in the immediate aftermath of the 2016 referendum, history would have played out very differently. The United Kingdom would have had a Brexiteer prime minister who wouldn’t have approached leaving as a damage-limitation exercise. There would have been someone with the political skills to use a general election to strengthen their negotiating position, not weaken it. Above all, there would have been a leader who knew what he wanted Britain to be after Brexit.
