I doubt that very much. The article carries a quote from a spokesman from the Ramadhan Foundation - not an organisation the doctor would have been likely to contact. These people are trouble-makers.

I work very personally with people every day. I have never worked with someone wearing a veil, as they are not appropriate and not allowed in residential/ nursing homes that I have been in.
If I had a homecare client with one, I would deal with it, obviously. But if I genuinely couldn't communicate properly with her because of it, I would ask her to remove it. If she wouldn't and it was going to affect the care I could give, I would, tactfully, explain why and that she would need to ask somebody else.

We hear enough about immigration swamping our infrastructure and crippling the NHS and other services. Small wonder resentment is shown to these people.
If they are non compliant and refuse to aquiesce to a GP’s request then there are plenty who will be happy to take this appointment that has now been
wasted. The GP should of said,”My hospital and my rules. Either your child is treated on my terms or you may stop wasting my valuable consulting time”
My religion comes second place to my child's health. These types do not do themselves any favours imo.

Haven't followed this thread, but surely a doctor needs to see the face of the patient he/she is diagnosing. One can learn a lot from observing facial expressions. (Sqad, are you there?)
When my doctor asks how much I drink he can tell by my face I am lying. :0)
