The Brexit Party will win the majority of seats, UKIP will disappear.
The LibDems will get all the Remainer votes and come a good second - beating Labour in London.
The Labour Party will have a bad day coming a distant third, and the Tory Party will be virtually annihilated.
Don’t think Tommy Robinson will get elected, despite all the free publicity.
as I understand it, you don't vote for an individual, but a party; the party is then allocated seats on a pro-rata basis using the number of votes cast. so far so good.
TR is standing in the north-west as one of 2 "independents". how are these listed, under the grouping of "Independent", or as 2 separate named individuals? if the former, how would he ensure he gets selected over his fellow independent (who, ironically, based solely on his name, appears to be a muslim :-) )
Exactly, Danny. That's precisely why he slunk away from his own thread and won't return to it.
And why we'll be waiting a long time for proof of Tommy's anti-Muslim leaflet.
Spicerack,
I have to work so I will not be returning to this thread until this evening.
I did not post again on the Brexit Party finance thread, because not one person answered my question, which was, why would anyone want the services of a convicted money launderer as their fundraising chief ?
Though you posted several times, you didn’t answer the question.
“When the facts change I change my mind. What do you do”
Fascinatingly Peter that very quote from Keynes was used as a defence of Saint/Sir Nigel of Brexit on here a while back.
Didn’t Mr Keynes’ town planning colleague Mr Milton once speak of Paradise Lost followed by Paradise Remained? Or did I mishear?
As for the rest, and one’s democratic credentials, I have to agree: voting in an election - very iffy :-)
Yes, the LibDems won't get all the remainer votes. The greens will get a fair proportion as well. Whether that results in any actual seats or just helps the Brexits even more by splitting the remainer vote is another question.
Gromit, everyone can see why you won't be returning to this thread for a while. Even Danny admits the leaflet isn't anti-Muslim in spite of your claims.
I answered your question on the other thread. When newspapers say 'an unnamed source told us' and 'friends of MrX claimed', they are lying to you. The Electoral Commission seemed to think so too.
danny //SR, the leaflet is not Anti-Muslim per se. His previous actions have supposed that.//
As I introduced TR to this thread, and have been following his career for years, I'll continue; give me one "action" or (genuine) statement made by him showing him to be anti-Muslim.
Plaid Cymru are running second in Wales and the SNP must be found well in Scotland. So votes for Remain will be really spilt. But in a sense it doesn’t matter. They are still votes.
Meanwhile in N Ireland the same old same old will carry on as before. How envious May and Corbyn must be ...
Re E.U. voting. As the seats are decided by P.R..Is my understanding correct.1) The number of seats in any given area will be decided by the % of votes in that area.
2) Bearing that in mind the M.E.P.'s elected from how the parties rank will be the individuals within those parties who have most votes.
Grumpy, On my postal vote form each party had its candidates listed EG Under Brexit Party Joe Bloggs, Fred Smith etc. Ther is no provision to vote for an individual, you can only put a cross against Brexit Party.
