//The writer said that, as a gay man, he has "rejected restrictive cultural gender stereotypes for "as long as I can remember", but does not believe in gender identity.
"It is impossible for a person to change their biological sex. I don't believe anybody is born in the wrong body," he said.// - bang on.
14:58 spath. That isn't deep, it's claptrap. Your biological sex does not change, no matter what your psychology is. Nobody cares what "gender" you are. It is part of your personality and no more relevant than saying "I feel happy". We just don't need to know, present how you like, but don't pretend it has changed your sex.0
Your sex always fits your body. Your sex chromosome is 50% of you. The genitals you get are just a symptom of what sex you are (and nearly always an accurate guide) but they aren't the "cause".
Nobody can honestly say that they "feel" like the opposite sex, because they blatantly don't know and can only guess that by stereotypes and observation.
If you are male, you identify as a man. There is no choice. It might not be a stereotypical man- but who is?
I can see you are confused, spath, but you are too busy talking to actually research anything.
I understand the definition of "stereotype" thanks, but that is not relevant here. Wearing a dress, heels, makeup, is not innately female.
Everyone is "transgender" sometimes, by that definition. It only depends on society's expectations. Anyone who is homosexual or has ever cooked while wearing trousers is literally "transgender". Spath, do you personally, only ever do stereotypical male activities and behaviour?
will not leave you hanging for an answer, so i shall respond to your question before i depart..
"Spath, do you personally, only ever do stereotypical male activities and behaviour?"
No. I personally can be quite feminine, but also quite masculine. Bit of both. I do not see roles that specifically suit men or women. I think either could do eithers job perfectly fine.
