Yep, i agree she can say what she likes. However, as we can see actions have consequences. In such a day and age it's a topic best left alone from her position

The issue is in the "produce an answer". If Stephen Fry said this we'd all be thinking he meant an answer to a question. With Widdecombe's history on this subject it people think she meant an answer to a problem and many people have a problem with homosexuality being billed as a problem.
