It is a Tory seat, but the electorate voted to dump the sitting MP and trigger a by-Election. Thenthe Tories kept the same candidate.

Pro-EU parties have decided not to stand, to help the LibDems win.

The area voted Leave in the Referendum.

The Conservatives majority will be cut to 1 if they lose.

Any predictions ?

What a ridiculous article. It was a “victory for Brexit” because more people voted for Brexit than not?
Even if true, which is impossible to say, the fact is the Tories are down to a majority of one. And the other bad news is it’s probably not going to get any better.
Farage has cost them at least one seat. Possibly two.
Working against Brexit indeed.
What caused the issue was the three clear leave parties not coming to an arrangement. No one is going to volunteer to stop campaigning unilaterally. No point trying to place blame on a single individual.
There's more to this than meets the eye, especially as to why the Tories reselected their 'disgraced' cabdidate. I also suspect that the opposition parties were the driving force behind the recall petition.
