Mr Hill is no new-comer to a little crime I inagine. A SWAT team should have delivered the arrest warrant preceeded by a few stun grenades and tear gas grenades first as it seems Mr Hill was acquainted with the police in the past :-)

Perhaps the regular instances of gun massacres in the U.S. could be curtailed if legal access to assault weapons was not quite so simple.

We do have access to guns in the UK, but at least you can't get one over the counter in Tesco.

Your comparions are flawed - every single item you mention has a specific purpose not connected to killing and maiming people - and killing and maiming people is a secondary use outwith the purpose for which the item is manufactured and sold.

Guns however, fulfil their exact designed purpose when they kill and maim people - that is what they are supposed to do.
