Tragic news, apparently he was knocked down by a car and dragged underneath it and then run over by a second car.

Reports say he was responding to a burglary. He was from the Road Traffic Division.
But 10 arrests between 13-30 does not fit that MO of a robbery.
Will have to wait for more info to be released.
No one should be killed performing their job.

Perhaps it was a planned murder and a hoax house burglary call out. by group people who hate police. Travellers? One of them was 13, which makes me think of travellers in particular. RIP

Having the acquaintance of a good few T.V. police officers, in fact I am a member of their shooting club, they have oft mentioned the problems of a certain community within their juristriction.I thought it best not to speculate but as ideas have been put forward by others I will bet next months pension on their conjecture being correct.

RIP PC Harper. My thoughts are with his family, friends & colleagues.

I can't see a mention of vehicles being directly involved in his death in either of the reports linked to or in a couple of others I've looked at. Is there one that does, please? I'll reserve further comment until more facts are released - hopefully one or more of the 10 arrested will provide statements that are fruitful in producing successful prosecutions down the line.
