Baldric - again, that was *not* in the report when I read & re-read it.

I accept that more evidence has now been released & the report has been updated.

This report mentions the possibility of a pursuit and a grey BMW being investigated nearby.
Who knows at this time.? We will have to wait. I can also think pursuit=static stinger team. A possibility ?

AOG, sorry If you found my post to be racial discrimination. I used the word 'travellers' in order to avoid being accused of this. Travellers to me are not defined by race, colour or creed. Because I live not too far from a traveller site I am fully aware that very young lads are often active in crime with their older relatives.

Witnesses reported seeing a 'huge police presence' at the well-known traveller site of Burghfield Common today, about two miles from where PC Harper died, and officers were seen blocking entrance to the site.

A Thames Valley Police spokesman told MailOnline officers were carrying out enquiries at the site as part of the investigation following PC Harper's death.

still conjecture at the moment. but if the involvement of a certain mobile section of the community is incontrovertibly proven, I suspect the chances of conviction or convictions resulting will be practically nil.

I don't know, 237... they were unable to make arrests here, because although they had cut through a chain to a park and it was therefore "breaking and entering"... they needed proof of which person actually did it. And there was no chance of that.

The main reason that Travellers are not convicted is because they are difficult to pin down and they don't give the correct address when they are taken to task and then they "leg it". I would imagine (hope) that this lot have been caught hook line and sinker
