On the 80th anniversary of the Nazi invasion of Poland, is it the time for London's Mayor to use the occasion to accuse President Trump, Boris Johnson and Nigel Farage of being ‘poster boys for white nationalism’?

/// Many Londoners as well as many Polish people gave their lives repelling Nazism. He probably has better reason to be there than the Vice President of the USA. ///

Whilst not dismissing the fact that many Londoners lost their lives, I think that you will find that many more Americans than Londoners, gave their lives repelling Nazism.
ANOTHEOLDGIT, the article says, "Mayor of London condemns US president as ‘poster boy for white nationalism’"

and

'Sadiq Khan has branded Trump as “the global poster boy for white nationalism”'

You'll notice that neither of them say "boys" as your supposed quote does.

/// Suddenly he's now someone worth quoting when it suits your argument! ///

When someone as stupidly left-wing as Sadiq Khan, makes statements such as those he is worth quoting to highlight how stupid he is.

Let's face it I quote you on many occasions.
Did the Nazis bomb anywhere in America?
But you..... Erm..... Quoted him in answer to TCL.

Why do you have to resort to personal insults on every thread where someone points out your mistakes.

Oh, hang on....

Well since he was reported as saying " Johnson and the Brexit party leader Nigel Farage are promoting similar far-right thinking in this country".

One can only assume that he also classes them 'poster boys'
There you go!!! Kahn is fine to quote when it suits your argument. Unbelievable.

You don't just have to be bombed to be killed.

Irony klaxon at it's loudest.
Show me where I've made a personal insult about you in this thread.
It's your assumption now is it? Half an hour ago you asked,

"Where have I amended what was actually written?

I simply carried out a copy and post from the Guardian report."

Really?

/// Show me where I've made a personal insult about you in this thread. ///

Perhaps not on this one but your continuous rude remarks on most of my threads makes up for it.

But while we are on the subject of facts, where have I resorted to personal insults on every thread where someone points out my mistakes?
Khan and our own Lefty half-wits are using the invasion of Poland to condemn the 'right'.
He/they seem to have forgotten that Poland was invaded by someone else in Sept.1939.

Good point Spicerack.

/// The Soviet invasion of Poland was a military operation by the Soviet Union without a formal declaration of war. On 17 September 1939, the Soviet Union invaded Poland from the east, sixteen days after Germany invaded Poland from the west. ... Some 320,000 Polish prisoners of war had been captured. ///
// Khan and our own Lefty half-wits are using the invasion of Poland to condemn the 'right'. //

It was the start of World War II not just an invasion. Our war against Nazi German was a war against fascism. That is point of Khan’s comments. We fought with Communist Russia against Germany, so no one is forgetting or excusing the Russian invasion.
// Our war against Nazi German was a war against fascism.//

But it wasn't 'your' war, or the Khants, until 1942. So stop falsely claiming the high ground.
What is disrespectful about sending the VP? Trump, like the Queen, cannot be everywhere at the drop of a hat.
jackdaw's right.^^^^ Even the Queen doesn't always conform and do what people think she should. Remember the controversy surrounding the queen when Diana died. ''Why did she stay up at Balmoral ,she should be in London mourning alongside her grieving people '' And on and on it went for days .
// But it wasn't 'your' war, or the Khants, until 1942. So stop falsely claiming the high ground. //

In one respect you are right. Khan and myself were not born until long after WWII had finished. I cannot speak for Khan, but I have never supported Communist Russia.
As for claiming the high ground, I am not. Khan did not comment on Trump today, so the inference that he was disrespecting Poland or British war dead was wrong - and I have said so.

Of course at the time of the f invasion of Poland communist Russia was an acquiescent ally of Nazi Germany and themselves invaded Poland a few weeks later.
Luckily for us Hitler tore that one up subsequently.
