I suppose the idea is they change the law back and of need be leave a little later. Doesn’t leave much time for these negotiations and subsequent parliamentary debate though if there’s a full-on election campaign in the go.
And as for a vote on an election, there’s not a lot of time for that either, as some idiot’s prorogued Parliament for the end of the week :-)

The other thought I was thinking was: if there isn’t an election, if he doesn’t get his way on that, doesn’t the Queen’s Speech have to be voted on?
