TBH the atmosphere in the UK at present is so febrile/venomous that I wouldn't be surprised if there were (another) attempted political assassination in the near future.

I hope not, but I think it's a risk & I believe a record number of MPs have asked for police protection.

I don't hate politicians at all. I may dislike them based on based on the things they say and do but not hate them.

My hate is mainly aimed more towards cold blooded murderers and child abusers etc.

I keep on hearing that Mr Cameron got us into this mess. He didn't. He asked the question of the electorate that should have been asked 27 years ago and which has been festering ever since. The mess is the making of MPs (of all shapes, sizes and persuasions) who have consistently failed to honour the outcome of the referendum. If we had left, as we should have done, in June 2018 (with A50 being triggered immediately after the referendum result and without messing about trying to secure a "deal") the mess would never have arisen. Sensible measures to ensure that life goes on reasonably (on both sides of the channel) could have been put in place in the two year period and work begun to identify problem areas and sticking points. Instead our "negotiators" saw Brexit as a problem to be overcome and sought to make our leaving as much like remaining as they possibly could. That's what caused the mess. The country has always been split on EU membership and not asking the question was simply brushing he issue under the carpet.
