Boris Johnson was accused of bottling a Brexit press conference today after failing to appear at a joint statement with Luxembourg's prime minister due to noisy protests.
In a pointed gesture, Xavier Bettel delivered the press conference by himself with an empty podium where Mr Johnson was scheduled to have joined him.
The British Prime Minister had earlier been booed by crowds as he walked up to meet Mr Bettel with a handshake before heading into the Ministry of State in Luxembourg City for discussions.
Demonstrators screamed “Stop the coup, tell the truth” and “Bog off Boris”.
After enduring the protests on the way in, Mr Johnson walked out afterwards without doing his promised appearance in front of the media.
Poor wee lamb.

UK at 39, at $44,100.
Also ahead of us: Ireland, Iceland, Andorra ... but at least France are a few hundred dollars below us.

No 10 asked for the conference to be held indoors so that both people could be heard ...but the usual intransigence was shown by the other pro eussr party...so nothing unusual there.
no doubt the Blatanly Biased Clowns would have loved it to have carried on outside so they could capitalize on their eussr bias and used the noise of the democracy hating (except when it suits them) protestors to further their leftie agenda

It was a set up. ive looked at the footage and i see a "*** to Boris" banner and stop "brexit banner", it wouldn't syprise me if Brexit Steve was there.
its like bbc news when they have an outside broadcast in front of the houses of parliament, they always make sure Brexit Steve is within earshot and the eu flags are on show.

Haha! Classic! They really don’t want us to leave, do they. How nice to know they care. :o)
Oops! You missed a bit, maggiebee. According to the link // No 10 asked for press conference inside so that the two leaders could be heard over the small but very noisy protest, but request was rejected… Boris Johnson recorded a clip for broadcasters //
I know it’s not what the rabid Remainers want to hear but I’ll say it anyway. Fair enough. Good for him for refusing to shout over a baying mob. He doesn’t need to.

And how much of that is illicit or shady banking - and how much on their cheap excise duties that distort sales of petrol.diesel, booze, tobacco, perfumes... their fuel sales are 7x that of neighbouring countries and why you only find small tinpot dealer service stations with 75km of the border.
