If they honestly want to create change in terms of government policy and thinking, which are the only places where a serious difference can be made, then they should be addressing their concerns to government, not disrupting the lives of citizens going about their daily lives.
The notion that upsetting strangers brings them around to your way of thinking is as facile as the notion that 'climate change' can be altered by the actions of individuals.
