I'm struggling a bit. My M.P. is Tory with a VERY solid majority and t.b.h. he answers my emails and writes to me when needed (last query was about our action on Hong Kong), so he is a sensible and responsible M.P., O.K.. He is even a Brexiter, as am I. The Brexit Party won't be fielding a candidate (they won heavily here in the EU elections).
Why am I worrying? Because (3rd time of asking) he voted for May's interminable servitude arrangement..... I admit that so did JRM and a lot of others. I can't, honestly, see much difference between May's total capitulation and Boris's deal save that he sets an end date to our servitude. Can I trust him on that? The stakes are immense and the process will be painful and damaging - the EU could demand anything of us and we would have to comply.
I'm toying with voting for the 'Independence for Yorkshire' candidate, who is local and a nice chap - as well as being right (we are stronger economically than Scotland, I believe). This would reduce our M.P.'s majority, but he would still win - and the I.Y.P. chap would be encouraged ------ decisions, decisions :)
