"Our rules commit us to ending all forms of discrimination, bigotry and stereotyping. UCU has a long history of enabling members to self-identify whether that is being black, disabled, LGBT+ or women."
Still, good to know they will respect my right to identify as an eskimo pre-op about to become a male legless stuttering little girl.

let's hope that it continues to not affect you. when ideas that "don't affect me" get traction, then the Jo Gradys of this world would feel empowered to have you hauled off to a educational correction gulag for mis-gendering the person in front of you with a thick beard, no neck, hairy back etc, who is in actual fact a female called clara…….

Mozz, First of all my opinion in this instance was that black people are not white and white people are not black - and that isn’t actually an opinion – it’s a fact – and it’s potty to pretend otherwise. The second opinion I’ve expressed here is that it isn’t acceptable for men who say they identify as women to share female facilities – and if either of those opinions offend you, so be it. This continual nonsense offends me.
A keyboard warrior defending what you perceive to be victims but where does that leave around 50% of the population, plus children, both boys and girls? Your defence of a minority group with personal problems takes no account of the potential abuse you may be exposing those women and children to. Are you and the rest of the right-on brigade willing to take responsibility for that? I’ve asked you a question which you’ve so far failed to answer so I’ll ask again. If women shouldn’t mind men sharing facilities, why is it acceptable for men masquerading as women to demand a choice? You need to get your priorities - and your principles - in order. They’re well and truly askew.
