People went back to voting on party lines in 2017, secure in the knowledge that all (bar Lib. Dems.) had promised to respect the Referendum result and that Brexit would immutably follow.
We have been sadly disillusioned.
I am very seriously considering voting for the Yorkshire Party - I like the policies contained in their leaflet - apart from the over-emphasis on 'green' issues and fracking - so shall dig and find out more, probably even phone and ask for clarification. If Brexit doesn't happen cleanly and clearly by the end of 2020; then I see no point in ever voting again.

My current Conservative MP is standing down. I wrote to him when he claimed to be a Brexiteer, but voted for Mrs May’s crap deal. I’m still waiting for a reply.
Strong Conservative area.
I’ll be moving house a couple of days after the election, and funnily enough, the current Conservative MP is also standing down. Another strong Conservative area.
I’ve just noticed a new candidate has been added to the constituency I’ll be going to: The Universal Good Party.
No, me neither!

Perhaps Chuka Umunna and Luciana Berger can defect to them next.

// politicians in safe seats should sacrifice their careers because of their slavish devotion to XXXX //
principles - oh heavens do we have THOSE in this election, well they are well hidden if we do !
In the Crown - in the suez crisis, they have the MP as an Arabist who absolutely screws his career when he calls out Eden in cabinet and says invading Sues was the stupidest thing he cd do ! ( before he did it that is !)
( he is an adviser to the prog - and wrote a book about it and then had to become like us - dosser or check out cashier.....) "Group think" is meant to be broken by one dissentient voice but it clearly didnt work this time
