... The new Clockwork Orange? I applaud the cinemas that have pulled this film but when they do that to films they end up with cult status.

APG 13.03 so we close the cinema for everyone else in fear of a riot after showing this film, the scum would love that. How many police would you suggest we have on stand by at each showing?

A midnight showing when all other screens had closed for the night would ensure no children were around in case of trouble.

"The new A Clockwork Orange?" Wasn't it the director himself (Stanley Kubrick) who had the film banned in Britain. I seem to recall a re-release shortly after his death.
All to easy to blame the film but I really do have a problem with this 'monkey see, monkey do' diagnosis of why the trouble took place. The guy with the machete must have known something was going to happen before he saw the film. Otherwise why 'rock up' at the cinema armed with such a weapon?

I think you call it 'posturing'. However, this could have been nipped in the bud had the police and security been armed with at least Tasers. A few fat bouncers had no chance.

Nobody, including "impressionable" people, will commit a crime due to seeing a film. The propensity for violence has to be there already.
