i am one, seeing grown women and young girls bedecked out like something from Lawrence of Arabia in this country is absurd in the extreme. I see them all the time and quite wonder are they just not fitting into our society, or they want to make this country fully Islamic.

Why is it absurd? Do you have the same problem with, for instance, Indian women wearing saris? Do you not want the freedom to dress as you please?

Women wearing saris don't wear a mask. They are identifiable - just as any other woman wearing a long dress is identifiable - so that's always a silly argument.

no, they can look beautiful. however you don't see many women round where i live wearing them, as many Asian women i see have adopted western dress. The ones who don't, stand out like a sore thumb, sorry if that makes you annoyed.

What is to despair about not wanting to wear a Burka?

A sign of a male dominated patriarchy that is a symbol of oppression that everyone is supposed to accept as acceptable?

That the men of the religion of peace are so incapable of keeping their base emotions in check women have to cover up from head to toe!

That the women are so programmed they do not see what is right in front of their eyes. That their preferred religion has such little regard for them they have to be subjugated to the lowest form of existence to please men.

But hey let’s not get in the way of acceptance of any and all lifestyle choices even if it perpetuates misery.

You know Gulliver1, it was Boris Johnson who was first to declare that President Trump was not fit for office.

Do you no think this is quite ironic?

There are many instances where Boris (In my opinion deliberately) has betrayed stupefying ignorance.

As I understand it, Boris was only cleared of not breaking Tory party rules. That's not the same as saying that his remarks were not racist as they blatantly were.
