The Conservatives are not ‘Universally popular’ South of the border either.
The Conservatives have 8 Westminster MPs. There are not many things certain about this election. But I am pretty confident the Conservative will have less than 8 Scottish MPs and the SNP will have more than their current tally of 35, afterthe GE.

It's going to depend on individual attitude. Does one know which side of one's bread is buttered. Does one prioritise fantasy from the heart or logic from the head. Does one believe in the union. Is one determined to vote in a party whose aim is to benefit all nationwide, or just to benefit their particular country (and not even get that right). The problem up north is that there's little option if wanting to make a protest vote. One's more or less stuck with the fantasists.

That is about as wide of the mark as it is possible to get.
Scotland voted to Remain, so leaving the UK is one way of achieving that. The Conservatives, Labour and the LibDems are all campaigning on preserving the Union. So a Scottish voted who wants to remain in the EU are more likely to voteSNP than anyone else, even if they aren’t at all bothered about Independence.

Scotland voted to Remain, so leaving the UK is not going to achieve that. Plus proving to be unable to support democracy but being willing to break away to avoid it shows a particular level of sinking low. What if one Scottish area decides they want to leave. Are they allowed to break away to avoid the Scottish majority view ? The whole thing is immoral and nonsense. And that reflects on any party supporting it.

On holiday in Fife in September I only saw one grafittied wall in Cupar. It was a very basic, uncomplimentary comment about the SNP.

Wolf63, did you mean exactly what you said ? Scotland cannot leave Britain because it is joined to England, but it certainly can leave the UK because that is simply an administrative arrangement involving both countries plus Wales and N.I - although some seem to think it is both a natural and divine law that this should remain so.

Where I live, I have the option of voting for the Brexit Party. It seems to be really irking you that you have to vote for the Party of Cameron/May/Heseltine/Letwin.

I have some friends who are fixated on independence. I think that the countries of the UK are better together. I am proud to be Scottish but pragmatic enough to see that we will be stronger together.

Ah, it's not one I have come across. Better together ? The UK is seriously backward in several ways socio-economically and woefully disorganised generally. Scotland in the Union will never be greatly different than the rest. Perhaps the hope is that Brexit will cure all ? The thing is that the UK's comparative position was a bit worse when it joined the EU but has improved marginally. The conversation in Scotland centres on change through/by disengaging from the UK and bringing it about.
