I'd almost forgotten about EC but Mikey always quoted the EC site especially when Labour were ahead, so I feel he would have appreciated me doing it when the Tories are ahead. He would have loved this whole time in politics.

The fundamental difference between Mikey and the current two most active Labour supporters (Gulliver and Diddlydo), is that Mikey was able to argue his position, provide a robust defence, provide a robust attack with reasons why etc...whereas Gulliver and Diddlydo can do none of those things.

Haha - Brexit Party 3.6% = 0 seats. SNP 3.6% = 41 seats.

Seems pretty fair to me (not).
Really miss Mikey.
miss him as well, we were all sparring partners, but he was a well liked and well mannered man.
I can't agree with that, emmie. He was incredibly ill-mannered when it suited him - but I liked him nonetheless. He kept the place lively.
not sure i agree but he was well liked.
Perhaps I disagreed with him more often than you did, emmie. Yes, he was well liked. I liked him too.
09.09 If you can't say anything good about a deceased person it's best not to say anything at all.
did you know him, ^^
Gulliver, I have said something good about him. Try again.

Where is jake-the- peg , when you need him , eh ?
I agree Mikey was certainly a lively member of this site and I would love to have heard his take on the happenings of the last few years. We had a few conversations about our shared a love of opera. But he could be very sniffy about shop girls and would tell how he put them in their place which didn't put him in a good light. Funny the bits you remember.
Mikey sometimes got on my nerves, like I'm sure I got on his at times, but he kept things lively and that's what I like most about AB, it's too boring without the feisty ones imo. The BA says it all and yes, I miss him. He would have been in his absolute element now ..
Mikey always felt like a friendly, determined holder of his p.o.v.. I did like him a lot and I still miss him.

Mickey and his wee Willie xx
Or should it be Willy?
//He would have been in his absolute element now .. //

Well, he'd have continued to fight Labour's corner at least - although I don't know why. Mikey 'aspired' - and that's not something Jeremy & Co would approve of.
I've said it before so I won't bother saying it again.
