I'd almost forgotten about EC but Mikey always quoted the EC site especially when Labour were ahead, so I feel he would have appreciated me doing it when the Tories are ahead. He would have loved this whole time in politics.

I was in Wales earlier in the year and, in memory of Mikey sought out the spot, marked by a special sign of celebration - some numbers I think - the purpose of which escapes me, where he'd taken a picture of 'little Willie', posted here. I had intended to photograph, for the benefit of AB, my floral tribute to him which I'd planned to leave there. Upon seeking directions from a local, I was informed that the 'exhibition' piece that he'd used had long gone, so the place impossible to locate. Sad. As much as he frustrated me, I would have liked to have paid tribute to him.

Does anyone else remember the photograph he posted from his local newspaper, where he said he was pictured on it but wouldn't tell us which one he was? At least I don't think he did. DTC has met him, I bet he'd know which one was him but he didn't let on, or didn't dare!

Didn't know him personally, but from what I remember, posting a piccy with his back to the camera sounds like the sort of thing he'd do :-)

Apart from his labour foible, I remember his love of The Archers as well as opera.
Had an interesting chat with him about loo roll on here.
